Starring... WITT

Plot
The Western Institute of Technology at Taranaki (WITT) is not only a sponsor and supporter of the Halamoana Awards, but also assists up and coming hospitality individuals with gaining skills and qualifications to assist them in their career development.

Production Co
Each year, over 5,000 students choose to achieve their aspirations by enrolling at WITT in over 60 different qualifications. Their courses have a strong vocational focus and are ideally suited to anyone wishing to embark on a new career, gain a promotion in their current career or wanting to re-skill to change career.

They also offer a large range of courses to meet other goals such as development of life skills, gaining entry to higher level study or to gain a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Maori culture.

Trivia
WITT was previously known as the Taranaki Polytechnic and has been in operation since 1972, celebrating it's 40th year this year.

Credits
WITT sponsor the Outstanding Chef category which is awarded to an inspiration in all aspects of cooking and a role model for young aspiring chefs. Creates great food and runs a superb, consistent kitchen.
